Installation
▪ First, make sure your lid is within the range that the gas struts would fit.
▪ Second, open your lid up to a suitable angle(90-150 degree), find the third of the lid, identify the upper and lower mounting points.
▪ Third, as the gas springs come with 2 L-plates each (with 3 screw holes and corresponding amount of screws included) at top and bottom, simply screw into any soft surface or any pre-drilled guide holes in any tough surfaces like wood, metals.
▪ At last, the screws can easily be fit and removed for any adjustments. If it's too powerful, you can move the mounting point inch towards the hinges' direction, if it's too weak, you can move it towards the opposite direction.
Note
▪ Not suitable for objects weighing less than 65lb, which could cause damage to the said object.
▪ If your door/lid is between 20-60lbs, you can just install ONE strut. If between 60-130 lbs, you can just install BOTH TWO struts.
