    VW 009 chrome electronic distributor by EMPI  VW Ghia electronic chrome distributor
    This is a direct replacement for a 009 Bosch centrifugal advance distributor (no vacuum used) made by EMPI.  IT HAS AN ELECTRONIC IGNITION MODULE.  The chrome finish really dresses up the engine compartment.  The Accu-fire electronic ignition module works great and there NO NEED TO ADJUST THE POINTS AGAIN!  This style of distributor is by far the most popular replacement for the stock vacuum advance distributors that came in air-cooled VWs.
    *Note: This distributor must be used with a coil that has an internal resistor or an external ballast resistor. OTHERWISE THE ELECTRONIC MODULE WILL BE DAMAGED.
