The auto manufacturers in the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's used phlllips head screws, which are near impossible to remove when rusted, and hard to reinstall without dropping a few and spending hours. These Torx drive screws have several advantages over the originals. The Torx drive head gives you plenty of grip on the screwdriver to loosen even the most stubborn screws. Made of zinc-plated steel, a magnetic driver will easily hold the screw on the tip of the screwdriver (unlike stainless) to allow easy installation without drops.
