What better way to relax after hours (more like days!) of putting up all your Christmas decorations than sitting quietly in the warm glow of the Christmas tree with this charming Santa Mickey tea/coffee set for two! Relaxing with this set would be a great way to take some time out with a warm beverage, from cooking, baking, and package wrapping.  The set, which was purchased at Disneyland in the early 80s, includes a tea/coffee pot, two cups with saucers, and a creamer and sugar bowl with lid.  With the exception of the saucers, each item sports a cheerful Santa Mickey on each side, loaded down with a sack full of goodies while standing in front of a snow-tipped Christmas tree.  All items happily declare “Merry Christmas” and holly leaves decorate each and every item.
The teapot measures 8” from spout to edge of handle, is 6” high with the lid adding another 2” in height, and can hold about 24 ounces of your favorite beverage.  The saucers measure 6” across while the cups are 2 7/8” high, with a radius of 3 1/8”, and Mickey and tree measure 2 7/8” tall.  Each cup holds approximately 7 ounces. The small pitcher
is 3 1/4” high, 4” across and holds 6 ounces of cream or milk.  The sugar bowl is approximately 2 1/2” from rim to base with the lid adding about 1 1/2” to the overall height.  There are 2 small paint flaws on Mickey’s Santa suit (see last photo), but with that exception, the set which was made in Japan of fine china, is in immaculate condition with no chips, scratches or stains on any of the pieces.
