This is a 3D printed replacement for VW part number 245829397
Modeled closely after the original. These rubber buffers are no longer produced by the manufacturer so we’re excited to offer this as an alternative to hunting for good used examples in salvage yards.
This elastomer piece fits into the channel above the hinges on Dokas and Sinkas with the standard stamped metal dropsides. They create a compressible buffer that will significantly reduce rattles on your old truck. These vehicles are 30-40 years old now and the originals may have become damaged over time or have gone missing.
If yours need to be replaced, you may also be missing two 'Jounce Buffers' on the cab which are another item that sell here on Ebay.
A Doka has 6 of these and a Sinka will have 8. These fit snugly into into their channels, but can easily be removed by hand if needed for yearly rust inspection. Do not use anything sharp for installation. If you need extra leverage to pop these in initially, a rounded piece of wood trim or a small blunt tool handle will do the job.
Handmade Parts
This is a 3D printed part so print lines are visible, however they tend to disappear on the truck and are not objectionable.
We make these in black, but would be happy to create them in other colors to coordinate with a your custom paint scheme (blue, white and red are options). Message us and we can work out the details.
